Here's a few more food pics then :)

That huge schnitzel was something like 9.80 euros.

On tap at local pub. Pretty good but I think it is just a touch too sweet and could use a little more hops to balance it out.

Also had PU on tap and I was very disappointed, total butter bomb, nothing like the canned stuff I usually get.

Go with 15% or so Vienna and you'll get a lot of the maltiness you're looking for. I think you could sneak 5% light Munich in as well.

Is that the Ayinger hellesbock, or the marzen?

It was the Marzen.

Was thinking 15-20% vima, I could also see a bit of muma. More experimentation required but that's what makes this hobby fun and keeps me going.

A "marzen" I just tapped.

This one was funny - it was supposed to be a helles, but I think the Pilsner malt bin at the LHBS was contaminated with something crazy - almost like somebody was brewing up a stout or some sort of dark ale and changed their mind, dumping their grain bill into the Pilsner malt bucket. I didn't notice until after mash in.

The beer turned out pretty nice though. I think there was some roast in there because I'm getting chocolate notes - almost reminds me of ovaltine.

Did you suck your Weisswürscht by holding them with your hand (only one allowed - it's called "Auszurzeln"), or did you cut them with knife and fork?

Mind you, there is no right way. That topic is passionately debated for over a century ;)

Nah, I just snapped the photo on the first pour. Mea culpa. I prefer the traditional 7 minute pour.
