I got to look around for that WO Festbier, I've never had it. How'd it taste?

Not much different than WO. It's 5.8% instead of 5.1% and may have 1% mema. If I were served these blind, 30 minutes apart, I wouldn't question that I had been served the same beer.

Unlike the HB, which you KNOW is a Festbier. Tons of body, sweetness, and alcohol.

The HB was pretty dry, medium bodied at best. It tasted more like a modern festbier than a traditional. The Paulaner, otoh, was full and sweet.

Sierra Nevada paired up with Mahr's this year. It's worth trying, but I won't be buying more.

An Illuminati maß? I picked up the Ayinger Festbier last weekend--I thought the balance was perfect.
