I never had a problem with any of these malts. Whenever I hear people complaining about the terrible hey character of Weyerman floor malted bopils for e.g., then I'm quietly astounded and perplexed.
In the end, there are preferences. Indeed, Avantgard, Schill and a few others are used extensively by the industry.
