Re: DO Readings
My reading after a single vessel BIAB dough in, mash, and lauter... not too shabby.

Re: DO Readings
Thanks so much for those readings. I'm planning a similar setup and I'm very glad it's been working for you.
Have you considered lowering the SMS dosage? The burnt match flavor/smell kinda scares me.

Re: DO Readings
Yea, I have the last couple batches.
There are some caveats:
1) The readings on the low end aren't super precise, the meter has some troubles.
2) To my surprise, when I did a lodo/hido side by side my mash out readings were almost the same. This could be do to the high temperature, beer ingredients acting as anti-oxidants, or the meter.
I did a side by side with 0 protection and 60ppm SMS and the difference in color was astonishing. So I suppose I take that as more confirmation than the readings.

Re: DO Readings
Also I should add that that sulfury 100ppm pale ale I've referenced actually cleaned up... just took a couple weeks.

Re: DO Readings
Don't have a meter yet, but even if you recirculate, how do you know it's evenly distributed enough for the readings to be accurate? Is in-line oxygenation the answer?
