Well... I never use the Refrac after alcohol is present. Gets pretty fucky with the refraction.

I can't spund in the fermenter (I use a SSbrewtech conical) but I can ferment under 3psi. I will have to mess around with length in the fermenter.

Are you not overly worried about O2 pickup during transfer into the keg? I purge my kegs with the "lodo" method filling all the way and venting, but I am a bit paranoid. That's why speise comes to mind.

I should probably worry more than I am on O2 pickup, probably rely on smb more than I should but I'm pretty pleased with my results.

THey are only rated to 3 psi I thought? Do you go over 3 psi?

I use the prv as an airlock. The triclamp top has a thermowell, and then I switch to a co2hook up to push beer into a keg.

But 13 days in terminal gravity has been reached, so yeast won't have too much effect, and even when using SMB it doesn't prevent oxidation, it just oxidizes faster than the malt flavor. I would assume that even with SMB there is still flavor loss.
