Thanks Nico, wish i could get that good stuff here. Maybe some day I'll make my way over there, it's on the bucket list.

That trip really should be high on your list. After all, how can one make something that one hasn't experienced?
Bavaria has much more to offer than just beer, mind. A great way to go about EU is by train (passenger trains here are not as low priority as in the US). It's not inconceivable for someone to start in Brussels and end up in Prague via Munich without ever having been in a car.

Funny you mentioned several times tech about your preference of amounts of malt.
I have found my taste buds coming alive, and I have been adjusting my recipes to suite my tastebuds and put the need for a stuttgarter hofbrau on the shelf

Thanks tech, good info as always. I think I may just brew the same recipe as I posted above but up the gravity and IBU to export strength. I've been enjoying a little more hops in my Helles lately about 18-22 IBU, may push this one up to 25 with a little larger flavor and aroma addition.

Playing around with my helles grist. There are so many good combinations. One of these is 4/8/1 (vima7,muma15,muma25), one is 12/3 (muma15/cara25) and the other is 10/10/10 (vima7,muma15,cara5). Thoughts on which is which
