I think it is smoother than hofbrau original, which is a plus, it is CONSIDERABLY closer to my favorite Stuttgart hofbrau, I notice it has a chill haze. It's fresher aroma, and better malt flavor than munchen hofbrau original. This is now my permanent replacement for munchen hofbrau original since the local beer distributor can keep it stocked up for me, UNTIL I can produce that level of beer on my own.

It does remind me of PU

very good in my opinion. Glad I picked it up.
