DO Meter Questions

Hi,
I'm looking at possibly buying a DO Meter. I really don't want to spend more than $200 if at all possible but I would go a little higher if I can get considerable value from doing so. I see that Milwaukee has a low cost unit and I see some slightly used units on ebay which I know is a little bit of a dice roll. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, it looks like the replacement probes are quite expensive? How long do these probes last with very good to excellent care?

O2 meters are expensive animals.
Most of us settled on Extech DO600s.

At this point I am so many batches in with my process I don't even pull mine out anymore. I would only use it to troubleshoot an issue.

I am bidding on a newish Milwaukee 600 on ebay, but didn't realize that they take a lot of pampering. I brew about once a month and I am loathe to have tools that take a lot of calibrating etc. Maybe I will use it to get dialed in and then resell.

I tested the Milwaukee and the extech and chose extech for what it's worth.

I've always been very happy with the Extech gear. People who tried it independently ended up ditching the MW equipment. Their pH meter is also not to be sneered at
Like Brandon said, their support is great. They have a maintenance kit with replacement caps, electrolyte and polishing paper which I would recommend too. I noticed that polishing the electrode every 6 months makes the meter very responsive.

I borrowed a Milwaukee and tried using it tonight. Either I'm using the meter wrong or I'm doing lodo wrong. Or both.
