Just thinking about this, as I will hopefully be trying a modified BIAB with lodo brewing soon. (2 vessel): Would it help if the bag with the grains were lightly/gently lowered into the strike liquor, as opposed to trying to run strike liquor very slowly INTO the mash tun with the grains/bag? Or would this be more of an opportunity for O2 ingress?
There's no easy way out. There's no shortcut home.

That's basically what I did, until I hooked up a pump.
...Bag inside a cooler & run into kettle.

Shiny, as in stainless steel, is a good thing. Shiny, as in complicated or expensive, is not necessary to brew lodo.

Postby Big Monk » Fri Jun 10, 2016 9:02 pm

Got the OK from the my wife and the boss has allotted me a couple hundred dollars to get the Low O2 brewery off the ground:

4 gallon MLT pot with bag and mash cap
3 gallon BK
Cam lock fittings
12v Recirc pump
Waring SB30 with Auber Mash/boil controller

My BrewDemon plastic conical fermentor into a 1.5 gallon torpedo with Perlick flow control faucet and spunding setup

STC1000 controlled 5 cu ft. Freezer.
