Counterflow wort chiller

Postby dr jacoby » Mon Sep 18, 2017 1:06 pm

Anyone see one of these in action before?

I wonder how they compare to standard counterflow chillers?

nope. it depends what you are looking for though.

The more inert your process, the less quality losses you will experience. If it's 100% stainless then it's superior to the ones soldered with copper.

Mine are made by these guys

I'm assuming it is an overpriced distillers pipe. It's unlikely that there is a coil in there. If you were lucky it would be shell and tube, although I doubt that as well. What it looks like is a tube in a tube, which means it wont be terribly efficient.
