Oh, they can surely travel fine and well within bounds. But it's not the distance, it's the selection.

Now, selection of good samples apart, none of this is an issue. But to make something a rather poorly thought through style guideline without apparent in-depth knowledge does seem a little preposterous.

It doesn't help people trying to reach-create that style and sends them off on a wild goose chase.

A massive malt kick and sweetness. Often there is also a spicy undertone
