Munich Helles

Postby Brandon » Wed Oct 14, 2015 12:10 pm

Just kegged Munich Helles, using 69% Pilsner malt, 13% Vienna, 8.6% Carafoam, 4.3% Carahell, and 5.4% Munich 2. So far it's very refreshing and good malt flavor. Lightly hopped, fermented 5 gallons with Wyeast 2308 and 5 with Wyeast 2042.

Nice. I love a good Munich Helles. I brewed one earlier this year that turned out exceptionally well. I don't know what I did to make it turn out so well, unfortunately. One thing I can think is that the yeast was in its 3rd generation as opposed to its first. So that might explain a little anyway... The keg lasted about 3 weeks with me mostly drinking on it.
