Anyone have any experience with this hop? I rcvd a few oz from a local Brewer and was thinking of ways to use them, maybe a strong Imperial Pils? These come in at 22% AA, pretty impressive.

They give a bit of a mint flavour. For a Pils they may be quite the ticket.

The high AA makes it very suitable for this, but the AA is suspiciously high. How much do you trust your supplier?

(Sometimes the mis-label them)

I'd just go for it ;)

Aim for 50 IBU but make sure you have a solid malt profile to support it. It'll be great on a full on beer (13-15 Plato)

I've read about that mint flavor and also read some reviews of people getting onion and garlic but I think they were dry hopping, I won't be doing that.

I trust the supplier, he took them out of his freezer, co2 flushed and canned about 5oz for me.

I was thinking somewhere in that same Plato and 50 IBU range, probably go somewhat equal amounts at FWH,60,30,10. Won't take much, maybe 15g for my small batches. Maybe a good holiday beer.

You could drop the 10 minute addition and add it once the whirlpool is at 85C ;) 0.5-1.0 g/l of wort

It's probably best to stick to a method you know well, so you can compare the effect better. Up to you.
