I have not used 2308 before, but if I remember right it was one of recommended strains for cold fermentation. The specs don't really seem to go along with the cold fermentation recommendation. During growing a pitch up it didn't seem to care for sub 55f temps. Just wanted to make sure this strain will perform in the mid 40s.

I've used it at 48 with no issues what so ever.

Wissenschaftliche Station 308 is one of my all-time favourite lager yeast.
It requires careful fermentation and proper maturation.
Generally speaking, I use it at follows
Pitch 5C, 6-8mg/l oxygen, ph ~5.1, Main ferment 7C, Transfer with 0.8% fermentables left, spund 0.5 BAR very veeeeeeeeeery slowly towards -1C over 8 weeks.
Enjoy!

White Labs 838 has been much better than Wyeast 2308 in my experience, although they're both supposed to be the "same strain"- WS308
