I will add a bit more. After trying my Czech pilsner, I would say it comes across as a very toned down marris otter (light toasty, slight nutty, clean). Don't know if I would go over 25% in a pale beer. But 25% is very tasty.

Indeed, Kölsch brewers are especially fond of pale ale malt. Some even call it Cologne malt.
