Radeberger

Postby Bryan R » Sat Jul 02, 2016 10:28 am

If you know me, and you know Radeberger.. You know this was not a match made in Heaven. I was mouth blasted by pima, followed by minerals, followed by oak and vanilla, higher ebc cara, more hops, more minerals, and a lingering bitterness. If its not obvious, my taste preferences fall about right in the heart of Munich. I can see how the East Germany, say the Munich people drink water when it comes to beer. Too much, and too bold for me..But of course I will finish the 4 pack. 8-)

I'm not a fan of the high karamalts in helles either. Give me vienna and munich all day long. I want bread notes, not caramels.

Bought a 4 pack of this in April while I was in Oregon and it was packed with fantastic malt freshness and flavor. Sure hiding behind that was a bit of salt but I think it made the flavors pop. Yesterday I was excited to find a case of this! Today I tried one and while it still has it, there is a muddy caramel saltiness that I do not remember.
Damn.. I had such hope.
