Yes my system and methods is always evolving and some of the changes are unfortunatly made due to time constraints as a two-child-two-dogs-frequent-traveller. So being able to shave of just 15 min work on a brewday can justify some equipment changes for me right now. In a few years I can probably work a bit differently but right now it is a bit of a puzzle to be able to brew at all.
Haven't thought about the "discard the first wort" method. Takes care of that problem I guess... Well well, to late to reconsider plate chiller now =)
