German Brewing

Yes, I know. Probably deserving of more than one discussion, but I'm living in Italy at the moment, and I will be using this as an opportunity to explore Europe. On the list is, of course, Munich. The problem is that there are just too many things to do! I was wondering if everyone could give me their top destinations in Munich. It doesn't even have to be a beer related suggestion, but I'm not lying when I say that beer is the reason that I am going. After looking at some threads, Ayinger and Kloster Andechs are making the list. I am not afraid to travel or rent a car in order to get out of the city.

In Munich all the usual touristy stuff is pretty awesome. My favorites are the Deutsches Museum and the Munich Residence. The museum is close to the altstadt so if your walking you can always stop for a beer, or six. Be sure to hit Wirtshaus Ayingers and Weisses Brauhaus.
