Spreewald (near Berlin)
Spreewald itself is an incredible area, all interconnected with canals, locks and tons of boating.

You can visit the area (for the day or for a vacation) and rent boats or kayaks and paddle through the maze of canals. Pull up to the occasional bier garten for a break and a brew. It's one of the best places to enjoy German beer.
