3% carafa... that's not to roasty in a low o mash? How's it compare flavor wise to something like kostritzer?

It's carafaII so its a bit more chocolaty than III. I did one with 1.5% and it was too close to a dunkel for me, so I upped it. I would call it decently roasty, I actually really like it. I will be getting some K soon to taste it side by side( though it wasn't meant to be a clone).

Thanks for the info.
I've been playing with the carafa percent also and, like you say, it's a fine line between dunkel and too roasty. I wonder if the freshness of the sinimar makes a difference. Anyway hopefully you can find Kostritzer on tap because it's a completely different beer then in the bottle.
