I've got to get one of these higher quality relief valves. The cheaper brass body ones keep sticking open on me.

the biggest catch is that the in/out ports are threaded plastic. I cracked one while still thinking about not securing it too tightly. Obviously, it's trash after that. If you order one, make sure to order (a) spare(s)

wouldn't a torque-wrench help?

it would, but then you'd need to know the required/maximum torque for the valve input. Of course, I could be just being ignorant/lazy, but the best I could come up with was using my hands to get a "feel" for the fit. It's a shame that the next most affordable valve that is metal and maintains consistent pressure is 466% more expensive.

Indeed. I used to have the brass ones and they eventually seize or start working poorly unless regularly maintained.

So I eventually splashed out for , which are fully stainless.

lord have mercy, that shipping cost to Italy is egregious. The Einstellbereich is the adjustment range, correct? I am wondering as to why one would purchase any except that which has the largest range. A reduction in accuracy?

I am sure you can find these in Italy via an importer or similar via a local supplier.

Is easier to read off a shorter scale, and it's also a bit more precise.

For most lager schedules, a range up to 1.6 Bar is perfectly suitable.

May I ask what kind of pressure people use for their lagers? Do you use a different pressure during different stages of fermentation?

And. Currently I'm using one of those pretty cheapo china/ebay/aliexpress spundvalves, they are finicky. If you tilt the end-piece it either seals more, or lets more gas out. I do get it to work, but I need to check in a few times to make sure the manometer is at where I want it to be for the first few days.

I've seen some complaints about the one in the 3rd pic in the first post (If I'm right) about it's not being totally reliable. Is this correct? Does anyone know where I can buy a complete, or pieces so I can assemble a reliable valve?
I've seen some which go for about 300 euros on amazon.de, but since I'll be needing about 6 of them, that's not the kind of money I'm into putting into it.
