Does anyone know whether Paulaner is low oxygen? To me Weihenstephaner tasted an order of magnitude fresher, but that's maybe because I drank it at the source.Crunk wrote:Another satisfied customer.

They should know better, but TBH last time I was in Munich, Paulaner was by far the worst beer I had.

Re: Tour of Bavaria
Looks like I'm off to München again in a month. The planning has just started but I will really try to visit one of my favorite breweries. Too bad I will miss both Drinktec and Oktoberfest and few of the breweries only have english tours during the festzeit.
Anyone visited one of the tours? Mostly interested in Weihenstephan, Ayinger, Andechs, Franziskaner/Spaten, Augustiner, HB and Tegernsee.

I'm not too fond of the Weihenstephaner actually. I never seek it out.
The HB is lovely as usual. Here it is in its natural habitat.

Their Dunkel is superb!
As a matter of fact, all Dunkels are superb in Munich. That's the real traditional brew. The Helles is comparatively recent.
