I am preparing to do my first LODO brew soon. A weizen and I think I have an idea what is going on with the hate.
It is like telling a bunch of Fat guys that they have to go to the gym. It is a lot of work to reduce O2, especially if you have an expensive system you have been brewing with for a long time. It makes you rethink everything and makes a casual brew day and fermentation to packaging process, a paranoid micromanagement scenario.
people don't want to accept that this might be the way to make "Better" beer and like fat guys that want a pill to lose weight, they will rail against the hard work and paradigm shift this movement suggests.
just my 2 cents.
